Whatever the issue, be it running, working out, seeing your friends... do not let the issue fester. I heard a marriage counselor say that the "4th horseman of the apocalypse" in a relationship is *contempt.
According to him you can disagree, you can be disappointed, you can just not see things the same, but once some has contempt for you- it's over.
*Contempt for a person involves a way of negatively and comparatively regarding or attending to someone who has not fully lived up to an interpersonal standard that the person extending contempt thinks is important. This form of regard constitutes a psychological withdrawal from the object of contempt
ahaha I'm seriously dying about this deer/doe/buck stuff. so random.
This right here
So you missed the part where he came back onto the message board to say that she hooked up with his best friend and now they are running marathons together all over the world and looking like they are enjoying the hell out of it? You missed that?
Wife nagged me about running. I quit running, now my wife nags me for gaining 30 lbs

You let yourself get completely taken advantage of. Some analysts spouses hate when the other is in good shape because it makes them look like a lazy bones. I’d get a divorce before quitting running.
No, she’s traveled with me to Chicago, New York, and Boston to support me at the marathon.
That’s the easy part. She has also traveled with me to Ogden, Erie, Sacramento, Jacksonville, and Duluth. Marathons have been a decent chunk of our travel budget at times.
The only time I traveled for her to race was a half Ironman in Napa.
I also get out of a lot of the household duties since I’m the sole earner for our family of four and constantly training for a race.
My guess is you should be more concerned about how you can support your wife in some things that interest her rather than let her senseless bitching bother you.
Edit: Oops, I just realized this thread was started 13 years ago. I wonder how it all turned out?
No, they don't bother me. But if they did I'd just get out of the house and go for a run.
