The melodramatic music is nauseating, the captions unnecessary- the commentary is more than sufficient.
He resembles Chris Solinsky after the finish.
cool!
Really, really awesome. Definitely better than anything on the front page right now, so it should be moved there.
Great stuff!
The hardest man to have ever worn a British vest?
Thank you.

Totally agree. This looks like the original:

What do you expect from a douchbag that puts up a blog called "Pre's Moustache"
More like "Pre's Nutsack"
Who are these "they" guys who said he had no kick? Who are "they"?
Got his autograph in Boston.I wish some other elites would back themselves like he did.He will never die wondering because he had balls to go with his talent.
Thanks Steve.
Wonderful!
Haha. Great stuff! We haven't seen a race like that since Rocky and Apollo Creed were sprinting on the beach in Rocky III!
Thanks, that's 10x better. Anyone remember the name of the announcer? So many classic calls from the '80's (Coe, Ovett, etc.)"Jones looks back for trouble, and trouble is there..."

That's what a front runner does.
27:55.2, that must have been his fastest time for 10000m.

27:39
His 10,000 best is 27:47.57 August 7th 1983 according to his IAAF biography.
is 27:39 on the roads?

That's David Coleman. The other voice is Ron Pickering.
Love it. Got to meet him in Falmouth a few years back, he was signing Reebok posters and he really inspired my son. I always admired that he kept his day job.
I thought this was more impressive.

Do you really think that IAAF internet biographies are going to be very accurate for athletes that have been ritered for 20 years?
Jones ran 27:39 on July 9, 1983 at Oslo. He finished 4th, behind Lopes, Mamede and Rose.
The 27:47 was in the qualifying rounds of the World Championships. He was 6th.
I can't believe I remembered the WR time to the exact second! Is this the race where he went out in some ridiculous first half split (by then standard)of 1:02 or something?

Thanks, I'll accept your comments over a number randomly posted. And I could have done a bit more research.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
