"Yet it is funny how these dumb college coaches can take lesser high school stars and turn them into athletes that are far greater than F-M girls ever become."
So since the Hansons made Brian Sell an Olympian, Ryan Hall should run for them?

funny thing about fanning is she never ran cross country until senior year. so she didn't live the national dream chase for 4-5 years, she played soccer. That was a good healthy break from the crazy. she did run senior year but never made nationals, and was injured most of the season. Interesting data. the one who didn't run cross for the program is the one who is successful in college.
After just a quick internet search, here are some times posted by the F-M girls on the track last spring.

OK and I'd love to see Saugus run against FM at Bowdoin Park. You guys make too many excuses over a course. It's XC you run in whatever conditions you get.
In NY there are meets with temps in the 70's and 80's in September. There are flat courses and hilly courses, long grass, short grass, golf courses, school grounds, parks, though creeks and up and down hills.
Got it? FM is the national champs Saugus is not- oh! they're 3rd behind two NY teams.
FM is definitely more impressive than anyone else in girls cross country prep history. However, I think Saugus's program is more impressive than FM on the oval and probably one of the greatest girls distance programs in prep history when it comes to just track. FM is without a doubt the best in cross country though, regardless of weather or what course they run on.
I understand a team performing better in cross than track or vice versa, but if a team is an average of a minute better per runner on the same course in a 5k cross country race, how could the other team even claim to be in the same league.
Also Anne St. Geme, though I guess she never really ran at Stanford.
Kaylin Mahoney is going to Columbia?? Saugus will have a lot of other runners this year continuing on.
those of you who are posting essays on here should find something better to do with your lives then pick apart the lives of a bunch of high school girls. The FM program is outstanding and probably one of, if not the best in history. maybe the girls in college just lost intrest or didnt like their new program. Im sure it had nothing to do with Aris "burning them out". obviously he knows what he's doing as a coach he has been very successful over the years. College coaches look for girls with the attitude and discipline the Fm girls have. Mackenzie carter ran very well this year at university of washington and was the alternate at Ncaas which is impressive for a freshman on an elite team like that.
those of you who are implying that FM is a team of drug crazy robots there is something wrong with you. do you seriously think they are on steroids? they dont look it. have you ever heard of a thing called hard work? i know it may sound crazy but it is possible to be "the best" in todays sports without being on steroids.
Mahoney to Columbia, it was announced at the awards ceremony at the southern section finals.

How could they announce that when no one is able to sign a Letter of Intent until February?
Why do the FM girls put that oil/cream on their legs before every race?
it's baby oil...it keeps them warm when they're not wearing spandex as it creates a kind of wind barrier
Bringing the discussion back with a new team on the rise for the 2014 season.
Great Oak High School from CA is tearing things up this summer and may be a similar team to FM of 2010.

absent from results is GO's #1 Destinee Collins (Jr)(who ran 4:45 for 1600 in track and 17:09 for 5k at the CA state meet)
Craziest part is 4 out of these 5 girls should be back for the 2015 season!!!
Will be a fun team to watch this season and compare to the historic FM team (as well as top college teams).
