Given it's 6k and not 10k, the women seemed to "go for the win" a bit more aggressively than the men who seemed to go for more of a "just qualify" approach. Looking at the winner from each of the regions, who do you see winning it all? I think the winner is highly likely to come from this crew:
- Emily MacLeod (Michigan State), Great Lakes
- Sheila Reid (Villanova), Mid-Atlantic
- Stephanie Price (Minnesota), Midwest
- Risper Kimaiyo (UTEP), Mountain
- Lucy VanDalen (Stonybrook), Northeast
- Nicole Mericle (Rice), South Central
- Krista Krueger(Georgia), South
- Laura Hoer (NC State), Southeast
- Jordan Hasay (Oregon), West
I do not believe these ladies will comprise the Top 10, as I think the West and Mid-Atlantic regions will probably dominate the overall top portion of the championships, but I do think the winner will come from this group. I'll start and say I think Hasay if the race stays slow, Reid or VanDalen if someone decides to push it.
Thoughts?
