I am getting back into running and I need to recover. I have 100% whey protein (powder) and was wondering if that would be helpful rather than detrimental...say taking 20 grams after a run.

It will be helpful in aiding recovery, but shouldn't be taken as a meal replacement. Use it to get something in your system quickly, but you still need to eat a regular meal within a reasonable timeframe.
If your concern is bulking up, don't sweat it. Not going to happen on 20g of protein after a run.
Why not just drink 16 oz of skim milk? You get 26 grams of protein, plus carbs to replenish your muscles. I drink chocolate milk or Ovaltine made with skim milk after my runs and I think it works great.
you should be fine with that amount if you don't want to pack on weight. there might be some better recovery supplements you could try instead of whey protein also. i definitely wouldn't say what you got would be detrimental
I second skim milk. As long as you can tolerate lactose, it's easy on your system.
