Hey everyone I am currently a senior in Indiana and ran 157 for the 800m and 51.8 for the 400m last spring. I just completed xc and ran 16:47. and im now taking two weeks off to get ready for base training. This spring i really want to compete with the states best and run around 153.
I wanted to add extra things into my training this winter and be able to train better. I have thought about adding some hurdle mobility, general strength, and some weight lifting into my routine. Also would like to add some harder workouts in close to track season say january February but dont know what type of workouts they should be?
I really dont know how to add these into my program and when i should be doing them. I plan to just run easy for a month around 7:00 pace then start with some strides and just add things in slowly.
If anyone could help me fit these into my routine it would be greatly appreciated.
