Can running doubles instead of singles be beneficial to training?
I like doing doubles once or twice a week, it puts less stress on your legs late in the season if you still need to hit mileage so you don't have to do as much in singles
doubles supposed to be great on recovery days
If humans were meant to run twice per day, we'd have four legs.

LMAO at this thread. I double everyday of the week to run 100+ each week.
no don't run them, you're legs will hurt & you may die.
also, don't run more than 30 miles a week, your knees will be shot.
i find that i run & feel better in afternoon workouts if i get an easy 4-5 in the morning.
i asked my college coach once about the training of an alum that was D3 national champ. he said that he had real breakthroughs in his fitness when he started running ~5 miles 4-5 mornings a week in addition to his afternoon sessions. just more volume i guess, but probably smart only for those that can handle it.
