In re reading the Daniels book (first edition) the section on stride frequency.. He mentions the 180 foot strikes per minute... says that as you run faster the only thing that needs to change is stride length.. Is it this simple?? It seems like that might lead to overstriding and thus decreasing the stride frequency as someone kicked at the end of the race. We have some kids on our HS team that I think overstride and need to work on quicker turnover so I was looking for some cues/ways to talk to them about this.. any suggestions appreciated.
