This is incorrect! Scott Fry's lifetime 800 PR is 1:57, and of course he was under 8:50 in high school for 3200. I actually witnessed his 1:57 on the fateful day when he was DQ'd at the Oak Harbor Invitational in the 3200 (it's a good story...I should tell it here sometime).
