This summer I've been running 8 min pace about 20-30 miles a week. I wanted to run a fast 5k or 10k, but my training just isn't going to get me there. I do have a race in 6 weeks. In middle of November I am taking another job that is just 40 hours a week, no more than that. Currently I work about 65-75 hours, and running gets a little slice of my time, but soon it will get a LOT more attention.
My plan is to try to get as fast as I can in 6 weeks, then start building a solid base to start next spring out the right way.
Anyone know of any program or workouts I should follow to maximize myself this fall before I do it the right way this winter? Thanks!
