I am racing a marathon in 6 weeks. Based on my calander and available races close by, I have two options
to do my marathon simulation workout and time trial
option 1) do a 32K 4 weeks before race day, where I will try to run at least half of that at my marathon pace. And two weeks after that race a 10k, where I will try to go all out and maybe even set a PR (as I have not run so many 10Ks before, if I go all out, it is possible).
option 2) race a half (all out) 5 weeks before race day and do the 32K 3 weeks before race day
which one makes more sense? Any other suggestions?
