Ok long story short Im a slow ass runner with pbs of 2:14 at 800 and 5.04 for the mile.
My training is usually aroun 50-60 miles per week and as this season is pretty much a write off now I've decided I have nothing to lose and Im gonna try a week of crash training.
Im basically gonna try and get 100 miles in this week with three workouts. The plan is:
day 1 - am 8 easy pm 7 easy
day 2 - 4 mile warm up, 6x1000m with 2 min rest, 2 mile warm down
day 3 - 15 miles
day 4 - am 6 easy pm 10 easy
day 5- am 5 easy pm 2 mile warm up, 10x1000m with 1 min rest, 2 mile warm down
day 6 - am 5 easy pm 10 easy
day 7 - am 5 easy pm 3 mile warm up, 4x200m with 200m recovery jog, 8x400m with 400m recovery jog, 2 mile warm down
So basically gonna log my progress here.
Thought it would be a fun experiement and interesting to see what a 100 mile week will feel like....feel free to offer any advice/critiscm.
