Man, I can just see all the "heartwarming" stories now about the "noble, religious athletes" who threaten their medaling chances by continuing to fast during the Games. Puke.
This kind of stuff is just another reason why I no longer watch the Olympics. How 'bout you "warm our hearts" by showing the competitions?
But they never will. In the US, the OG are almost the only sports that most women watch, and they only do so because of the "human interest" stories. The network isn't going to voluntarily reduce its (already dwindling) audience by sticking to competition coverage...
