He has run 26:4x but he has not run 26:40. Maybe in the future but not yet.

Did Rupp really run something close to 13 flat way back in 2010? I guess he did. Its kind of amazing that 5 years later and all the DL 5000M races he has run, he has only improved several seconds.
Doesn't exactly fit the doping narrative does it? Wouldn't you expect much better results from a systematic doping regimen?
And of course won a silver medal in Olympic 10k.

Better than a white kid running 26:4x and getting silver at the Olympics, only losing to the other guy in his training group with access to the same advantages?
How much better can it get?
Is shying away from fast outdoor 5000m times part of the effort to reduce suspicion? Look at how much negative attention the indoor times + workouts raised up.

No, you wouldn't expect because you live in the doping past. Today's doping tech provides kicking ability and endurance, and is tweaked for each specific athlete. Salazar has not figured out how to work a fast pace for 5k with a super-kick for Rupp yet. Time is running short for Rupp so it likely Salazar will not discover the perfect solution in time.
