What is your opinion on the free training plans available online? Which one would you choose and what changes would you apply to make the plan more effective?

These are just the ones I've come across, feel free to add to the list if you know of better ones out there.
Also, these plans don't include the base phase so what are your thoughts on length of base period for marathon training?
