My 13 yr old son recently ran in 100m race clocking 13.9.
Now, I know that there are hundreds, thousands probably, of boys his age that run quicker. But he enjoyed it and said he like to run in some more races - he wasn't last!
He hasn't done any athletic training - other than playing soccer for most of hie life. He actually has the build of an distance guy but has shown no interest whatsoever in running.
So, anyway - if he wanted to do some sprint training what sort of times could he run by the time he was, say, 16?
13.0? 12.0? sub-12?
any ideas? tips?
He also ran 14.9 for 80m hurdles at the same meet and he enjoyed that too.
