It’s the 21st century folks; can we please get past the postcolonial racial wrangling of the last century?

I wonder that such accusations suddenly arise in connection with a white sprinter. Especially when one considers that whites virtually stopped competing in mid 80's and their times haven't improved since. What about all those "great" black athletes that have been caught? The current sprints are loaded with drugs and in fact, probably all world records we have seen during the last 2 decades in track were achieved due to doping - either with the help of steroids or EPO.

The editors of the website report that today's race in gateshead 5000 includes Rupp and Cragg - Nobody except the brojos that run this website think that rupp will amount to anything.. while cragg is a completely washed up runner. The Cragg mention is a definite indication that the editors only care about white people running this race. It is so outrageous.. i have stopped reading the front page.

That was a qualifier. The real race video is up now, and it shows that he leans at the line. He went all out.

I don't think its the blacks that are pissed. Black sprinters know that success of guys like Wariner and Lemaitre means more attention and more respect for how hard THEY work, and a bigger pie for everyone in sprints.

It's the WHITES that don't want to work very hard that don't like this. It's far less painless to sit on the internet and say they're only fast because they're black, it's all drugs, they're all Africans....

If the white sprinters (and distance runners) had worked as hard as they did in the 1970's (Wariner) they would have success like they did in the 1970's. Guys like Solinsky, Webb, Manzano, Wariner, Lemaitre have gotten that lesson.
