Why are there guidelines so terrible? There is hardly any room allowed on a singlet for any kind of design or lettering by a club team. I always wondered why a group like Zap Fitness has such poor uniforms, and this certainly explains it. C'mon USATF, how's about a little creativity?

USATF is following IAAF rules on uniforms and logo size. Funny, because the Brooks athletes are wearing jerseys with big logos that aren't regulation size, and they're not enforcing it.
That IS pretty rediculous. I always wondered why almost no one is sponsored by more than one company. I really don't think it would hurt the sport to have singlets that look more like cycling jerseys, adverstising wise.
Those guidelines are from the Olympic Trials. Generally, the only time USATF uses IAAF guidelines is the Olympic Trials and, I would assume, at the Diamond League meets.
Those rules are not normally applied at USATF Championships.
