Has anyone used this new updated watch? I want to get it because I have had good experiences with my other garmin (305) and wanted a new simple GPS watch.

If you like Garmin's products, and you're looking for very simply, then you'll probably like the 110. It is, in fact, extremely simply to use, nothing overly fancy about it at all.
have you used the 305 or 405? I am interested to see the comparison. i know it is a tad lighter. any other features or lack of? the 305 was more accurate i found, but only gave "instant" pace time where the 405 is a better fit, less accurate, but gives average pace. any feedback would be great as I am considering the 110 due to the fact it is a little smaller.
You need to learn the difference between "simple" and "simply."
I just got the Garmin 110 a few days ago (had a 205 before) and have been a bit disappointed. Here are the pros and cons as I see it so far:
Pros:
-Heart rate monitor option
-Much smaller and light weight so it doesn't look like a bomb on my wrist
Cons:
-Does not give the overall average pace for your run
-It stores your total run time but unlike the 205/305 it doesn't save your splits -- This is quite frustrating because one of the great things about the 205 is that I could do an 8mi tempo on the roads and then check out my splits afterward. I guess I'll have to work on my memorization skills.
Thanks for the info, Summa. Is the size comparable to the 405 or smaller? I run with the 205 and I'd like to decrease the size, mainly for racing. What do you mean it doesn't give the overall average run pace? Only current pace? Overall pace is the single most important feature to me so that seems strange.
Displays average pace over last lap. If auto lap is off, displays average pace over entire activity unless lap button is manually pressed.
NOTE: Auto lap is the DEFAULT setting... this must be turned off manually to give you overall pace.
