the first place guy is an OSU runner as well. They probably just hopped into a local 10k for a tempo run.

Maybe with German out an Oregon runner might dare to toe the line of a 1500 Final. Ouch!

You mean like McNamara last year (oregons 6th miler?)
On a sad note, it's likely 4 oregon runners will toe the line this year and no German.

Just like in 2009? Refresh my memory Oregon historians, how did that turn out again?
Good attempt at going sideways.
Reflect back to your other moniker post which I responded to. Unlike the haters, I'm not an exclusive fan, just an American distance fan. I'd like German in the race, it doesn't appear he will be. It does appear several Oregon runners will be, sorry that upsets you.
You made a remark about no Oregon runners being at ncaas in the 1500 last year, when actually two went into the meet and one left with a stress fracture and the other who was oregons 5th (at best) miler still represented Oregon in the final.
Just correcting your mistakes for you.
Behold, the future of American distance running, Tom Farrell, not only beating German outright for the overall win, but also putting German into 2nd the M16-19 age group:
1 M16-19 Tom Farrell Stillwater OK 31:36 3:10 31:35 1269
2 M16-19 German Fernandez Stillwater OK 31:36 3:10 31:36 1270
Tom Farrell should be able to take Solinsky "downtown" in a 5k race this year. We all need to demand a new Letsrun poll to vote on it.

It turned out oregon won 3 of 4 distance races and had a bench man in the 1500 final. Not too bad. Is my history correct?
I think what he was trying to say is that Oregon feared German, so the top Oregon milers chose to race else where.

I would guess he is redshirting. Hope he doesn't end up like Jeff Nelson (the former HS 2m record holder)...but it sure does seem that way.
Jeff Nelson never ran a colligiate record, win an NCAA title, set an American Junior record, finish 11th at world cross, do I need to go on?
Farrel's british.

Stillwater is surrounded by great dirt roads to run on.
It's a much better place to run than Eugene.

Yes I'm confident he was which would make him an idiot when you consider that an 800 specialist went with the 800 and a long distance guy doubled 5K-10K. Centro WAS there with a stress fracture, he didn't chose another race, he chose the 1500 hurt and hence missed USA's in Eugene.
Next he'll make some reference to questioning Centros faking or toughness, in which case I'd have to remind him that is hypocracy if you take into account NCAA cross in 2008, 2009, indoors this season and the current outdoor season for German.
It's a bunch of nonsense that Oregon haters cook up without acknowledging the hypocracy slapping them in the face.
The funny thing is, we really want German in the race, in any race the same way we want Puskedra to find his groove in the 10K and cross again and Fout back to form.

And yet they managed to loose the national title by scoring zero in the event they were supposed to sweep. I can almost here the pep talk before the meet: "OK men, the team title is in the bag, all I need is for one of you studs to agree to run the 1500." This was followed by the sound of crickets.

While dirt is great for a fairly strong runner, if you're injury prone I'd take running on bark dust any day, much lower impact. Oregon also has quite a large indoor and outdoor astro turf scene for someone coming back from injury.

It apparently didn't help Centrowitz and Wheating all that much.

No, hypocracy is saying Fernandez is faking injury to avoid competition when centrowitz was a no-show for the 1500 final because of an injury. Read all the posts before you respond.
Is that crazy hypo on Oregon's team?

I thought Wheating and Centro are back on full cylinders? Are they injured?

And understand mine before you do. People said the same of Centro last year. Centro wasn't a no show for the final, he was a no qualifier out of semi's because he was injured. People called him a choker or p@ssy etc until he wasn't able to race at USA's. The same things could be said about German, which makes it hypocritical.
