I'm predicting craig lutz from texas to win it all. I think lukas verzbicas will come in next after lutz.

Does anybody know is Sissot is runnng it or even ran in regionals? He had a few good races earlier in the season, including his 14:30-ish equivalent. Haven't heard his name much recently.
Goethals for the win. I had the opportunity to see Megan run this year at her State Meet. I also went to the South Regional and knew that Goethals would of run 16:15-20 on that course.
Without the Rosa's or Zach Willis it doesn't matter.
Aisling Cuffe and Kirubel Erassa
17:26 and 15:12
Who cares? The Rosas are running NXN, and there's no team race to follow at Footlocker.

The problem with a nation high school race is that virtually no one is from the several top schools and so you do not really care about the team outcome anyway. There are about 100,000 high schools; thus, 99,975 of the high schools are not represented and so what does the team race really mean?
When you get to college you have a lot of regional aggregation. There are about 100 college teams that matter and most people on this board identify with one or two of them. That makes the team race more interesting.
Besides, I do not think that HS kids should be pushed tot he level that they can achieve as a maximal level. Thus, HS XC national champs can be a case of a whole team pushed way too hard. It is hard enough for the best runners to train at a high level; they have bodies particularly well suited to hard training, but most HS kids do not yet.
Who cares about the team race everyone knows the Rosas are gonna win NXN and there won't even do well.

NXN FTW!
nxn is stupid. rosas should have done footlocker. stupid gingers.
Brian Shrader from Flagstaff AZ. Oregon recruit. Undefeated this season. Fresh legs - has not raced since state a month ago. Altitude trained.
Lukas V has had Achilles problems and has never proved himself on hills.

Grabill!!! on the home course.
Kirubel Erassa
who cares?
footlocker is for kids who value tradition/perceived prestige over what is good for the sport
The silliest part about the Rosas not going to Footlocker is that their team didn't even qualify for NXN. I can definitely understand two national championships: one for teams and one for individuals. But if this is the case, then why have individual qualifiers for NXN???
I guess the reason is that NXN regionals and FL regionals are on the same day and that Footlocker and Nike are competing, not playing cooperatively.
A better system would let the NXN individual qualifiers go to Footlocker instead without having to re-qualify (as people in the West can do). That way the conflict of interest with the two would only exist for individuals on top teams, and we'd get to see the individual matchups we want most years (this year included with Lukas, Lutz, and the Rosas) at Footlocker. This would maintain the FL tradition while keeping NXN as a team thing.
Don't worry, Lutz will be racing the Rosa's at NXN.
So the only person missing will be Lukas, who will then race Lutz the following week at FLNats.
besides, Lukas and Lutz are better than the twins anyways
They had a legit shot of going, their 3rd guy is a really good runner, 4th is decent, 5th is waaaay back. It made sense to try.
And what about those individuals who DO have to choose? The fact of the matter is, if Footlocker had been reasonable from the start, this wouldn't even be an issue; they could have combined the races and everything would be hunky-dory. Now, because footlocker is being stubborn, it's going to have to die a slow, prolonged death, and kids are going to have to make tough choices. The only tradition of Footlocker is all the best kids in the country in one race; who cares if that race is in Cali or Oregon or wherever?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
