yeah, congrats on rooting for the team that represents everything that is wrong with professional sports.

Amazing how when your team doesn't win, all the haters come out...*sigh*. Get over yourself.
whatever that was a really close game, some controverisal calls on both sides of the game
Yeah, you're right. All NY fans are in on the conspiracy. We decided that our team was the best and that things should always work out in our favor. Oh yeah, we also set the explosives at the base of the World Trade Center. Conspiracies are fun! We did that to get everyone on the trail of Al Qaeda and we did the same when we let the Phils win the first game to get everyone off the trail. Genius. Our plan is flawless. Those nine men will take over the entire government once they take this one over with baseball bats. I mean, why else would AN ENTIRE CITY decide one BASEBALL TEAM is worthy of world domination. INCONCEIVABLE!

If this message board is an indicator, we've certainly answered the question of which team has the more obnoxious fans.

How do you know which team the "obnoxious" fans on here normally cheer for? This thread isn't filled with just Yankees / Phillies fans.
That was a pretty big strike zone in game 2.
The pitchers placed the ball on the edge and the hitters didn't have much of chance. Swing at a tough pitch or take a called strike.
The two home runs against Pedro were good pitches, out of the strike zone that the Yankees made good swings on.
That was the difference in the game.

And I wouldn't be halfway surprised if you couldn't name any other team in baseball besides the Phillies. Rooting for the yankees? Is that the only team you've ever heard of? How long have you even known what baseball is? September of 2009?
By the way, you were so pivotal in the game last night. Thanks for contributing to a barely successful yankee victory! When the yankees lost no one came on here to rub it people's faces, yea...new york fans are so much CLASSIER than philly fans. You guys are just as obnoxious. You get over YOURself.

Yeah, agreed, no one really hit THAT well (considering both team's resumes). And the officiating wasn't all that great, behind the plate and in the field. Some missed calls went both ways but you can't possibly say that it evened out. Not that I'm complaining, all games have blown calls, but come on. This is the world series, two absolute powerhouse teams coming together to duke it out. GET THE CALLS RIGHT! WHO CARES IF YOU USE INSTANT REPLAY?

"How about ARod? 0 for 4 and 3 strikeouts, beautiful!!!"

Philly may have more obnoxious fans, but the New Yorkers are just fat scumbags. Their team is in the world series, which should be viewed as an absolute privilege, and instead of being true fans, they're leaving before the game is even over. Are you kidding me? I understand that your overpriced team is SUPPOSED to go to the world series, but seriously? Who leaves before the end of the game in a WORLD SERIES game??
On top of that, they didn't even sell out. I don't care how expensive the tickets supposedly are, it isn't too much for people in new york. Your team is in the world series, you should be selling out every seat and then some. Spoiled new yorkers.
New york fans care if the team is winning. Philadelphia is going to go crazy tomorrow night. It's going to be a seething, teeming, hornets nest of fat, drunk people in red shirts. Those fans might be at the stadium right now and will probably stay the whole weekend without bathing or brushing their teeth. THAT's how "obnoxious" they are and why they are such good fans. The only GOOD fans are the obnoxious ones that get behind their fans. New York has fans that leave before the game is over during a world series game. And don't think up some lame excuse like "traffic," any true fan would sit through inevitable traffic to save some face and see their team through the end.
GO PHILLY
It was sadly ironic I was rockin' my "In case of emergency, use Stairs" shirt last night. The guy has gotten a lot of mileage from that 1 homer in last year's NLCS. Still a fan favorite
Anyway, who thought the Phils' would be 2-0 going back to the Bank? I certainly didn't and I'm happy they got one in Yankees Stadium before heading home. Pedro and AJ both pitched great, ARod and Howard struggled big time, and the Phil's bats were silent. Still say Phils in 7
To the girl who is posting: women have no place in baseball except performing next to Jay-Z in the pre-game show or retrieving foul balls
Yeah, terrible pre game show. Just another reason why I hate alicia keys. Dancing around like she's talented or good looking, what an idiot.
Nobody EXPECTED the phils to be 2-0, but come on, they didn't even TRY to win the game after the 7th inning. It's like they were content to just go back to the Bank at an even 1-1. It's like they "got their one win" and were happy to take that home. To me, that's unacceptable. Come on, you have to send the runners in the 8th. They had a shot at Rivera. If Charlie sends the runners with Utley at the plate, Victorino gets to second and Utley gets thrown at first, then Howard comes to plate with two runners in scoring position. Despite the fact that he struck out 4 times, the guy still hit 46 homeruns in the regular season. There is a HUGE chance for a hit that ties up the game.
At least TRY and win the game. Don't settle for simply breaking even.

A-Rod is a cheating turd, it doesn't matter who he's playing for. I'd still hate him.
I never said I was a Yankee fan but I grew up watching their minor league team as a kid but moved on to the MLB games. I guarantee I've probably seen more MLB games then say your age?
Let's see what I can remember about baseball;
I believe the Yanks post season pct. avg was .636 and Phillies .574?
Chase Utley is a hunk. (sorry couldn't help it..)
Jeter has the 3rd best batting avg. in AL?
No world series in 1994 due to 'player strike'.
My best WS game to watch was in 2001 AZ Diamondbacks against NYC 4-3 (7 game series..)
But it's okay for you get all bent out of shape and change your id? At least, I'm brave enough to come back with the same name and can handle "no women have a place in baseball" which to the poster who said that, you kiss my azz...
Btw, you might want to get a 'bun' for your chili dog, wouldn't want it to freeze now, do we?
half of that post was jibber jabber. you're making my brain hurt and it already hurts from last night antics.
posting on a message board requires large amounts of courage! i'm sure the letsrun community is thrilled to hear that you "can handle" the postings of a nameless/faceless person that you'll never meet. kudos! you have demonstrated your tough exterior and ability to look adversity directly in the eye!!!
*last night's
That was the lamest post I have ever read.
wow, you're such a fan. All stats that can be easily accessed in 20 seconds on the internet, and stating common knowledge? Not really a fine argument, but that's okay, I will let you take it. Question, do you know what PCT. stands for?
And those are obviously the regular season win percentages, not the post season ones. That's alright, simple mistake for someone who doesn't really know baseball or can't read the headline on the stats page on mlb.com
and I have no idea what you're talking about with the id's, people who have to change their id's because they're afraid of catching heat are pussies.
and nice attempt at a joke. Terrible.
Jesus, it's no wonder the average letsrunner can't get a date. A woman finally wants to talk with you and you trip over yourselves to insult her. Back to the sausage party, boys.
