Who do you think will win the world series?
I know it will be the phillies.

Two of the most obnoxious fan bases in all of baseball. Unfortunately the Yankees are going to own the Phils. National League fans don't realize just how good the Yanks are this year.
I hate the Yankees, but you can chalk up at least two wins from Sabathia. The guy is just throwing incredibly well right now. He was awesome last night.

He must be getting sports psychology sessions with Salazar...
Cliff Lee is just as dominant as Sabathia. If this series comes down to offensive fire power, the Phillies will take this series in 6. I HATE the Yankees too.
The Phillies are an AL style slugging team that did not have the benefit of a DH. The Yankees will not have that advantage when they are playing at the Citizens Bank Park.
Phillies sweep!

Unlikely, Yankees in 5.

Didn't the Phils handle him last year?

Didn't take long for this thread to prove you right. I'm embarrassed to be a fan of one of these teams.
Phillies vs. ANGELS
haha its true they do have the most obnoxious fans, I would say its going to be close but the phillies will win it. I know the fans down here are much crazier though, I know ill be on broad street after every game the phillies win, hopefully flip a car over or something
Go Phighting Phillies!
so funny, did a phillies fan even exist before September 2008? now it's one of america's "great baseball cities"... "rabid fans"... don't confuse rabid fans for white trash.
I am a New Yorker who would like to see the Phillies win. I continue to be amazed that so many people are Yankee fans. They represent nothing that is admirable.
I've been a Phillies fan all my life. I can still name the starting lineup for the 1980 Phillies (only world series winner before last year). They've had some characters come and go through the years (Carlton, Dalton), etc.)
Not sure they are one of the great baseball cities, though. St. Louis deserves that moniker. Baltimore did too for a long time but I think the ownership there may have pissed that away.
phillies have fans? wrote:

You haven't been following sports for very long have you?
Philadelphia fans have been notorious for years and years.
Philadelphia is without doubt one of the best sports cities in the country, even if it is a little blue collar. It's been that way for a long time, friend.
i'm sure they're "notorious" for being white trash.... never seen so many diamond earrings on DUDES in my life while sitting in the outfield.... that doesn't mean they know anything about baseball or gave a sh*t about their team while they were sitting at the cellar of the NL East for since the 80's... phillies fans are at the game in the hopes they can get drunk and "celebrate" afterwards, but from my experience they dont know the first thing about the game or its history.
Philly handed Sabathia his @ss last year, and can do it again. The big variable is Cole Hamels. If he gets his head out of his butt then Philly takes it in 5. It is nice to see Brad Lidge back and Pedro pitching well.
Bring those over-spending jerks on! We'll give 'em a beat down! I can't wait to party on Broad Street for a second year in a row.
