Does anyone else think this 5k WR is a little weak? How hard could it be? 1 mile record looks weak too--5:35 with 40 lbs. Pretty amazing this guy has so many records though.

AWESOME!!!!!!!
Yeah of course the record is weak. How many people do you think have ever attempted this? 20? 100? 300? Those are all incredibly low numbers.
If I remember correctly, Josh Cox ran something ridiculous with a tremendous amount of weight, just to prove a point. Will dig it up when I have time...
paddy doyle is my new hero
Why?

Why the hell would you care to do this?

For the glory! Why do you run?
It's no different than you trying to set a 5 kilometer pr.
I think I can break the 24 hour push up WR
Do you have to have these kind of things sanctioned or something? Or you just go out and do it and claim it on a website? Just curious, maybe I will try one.
I'm 40 lbs overweight and I ran 23:25 last month.
Yes its weak. Extremely weak.
I have done 6 miles in 56 minutes.
Done with a 45 pound rucksack in the Army.
Did 2hrs 6mins for 12 miles as well.
I am willing to bet that even I could do that.
I bet that with a month of training, I could take that record down.
It isn't very impressive at all.
most of you guys will figure out how easy this is when you are mid get to your mid 30s. HS/college weighing in at 140, then by the time you are mid 30s ... 180 isn't much.

And you thought triathletes were bad..
most exercises in one minute, with one minute breaks between each exercise: 123 press-ups, 108 sit-ups, 114 one-armed press-ups, 90 squat thrusts, 33 burpees, 102 back-hand press-ups WR
