Has the swine flu passed through your city, town, community, university, corporation, daycare, school, etc.?
Here at Ole Miss, it would be fair to say that everybody is nervous. The storm hasn't really hit, but it feels as though a large hurricane is swirling out there somewhere.
"Meet the Rebels" day--annual meet&greet between football team & community fan base--was canceled. That's like canceling Christmas around here. Apparently enough football players had the disease that they decided to bag the event.
A friend's wife works as a nurse in a Batesville hospital, about 20 miles from here. Saw her two days ago. She said swine flu is swirling through public schools in the Delta. She said that it hit young people harder than older folks (50s & above). She said it wasn't any worse than regular flu, but among the population susceptible to it, it's apparently much more communicable. It just flows from person to person.
What's going on in your neck of the woods?
