Is it ok for me to just run the same mileage. It was only a week, right?

If this isn't a troll attempt, then I'll try and answer. I believe that Daniels says that you still have 90% or more of your fitness after one week (I don't have the book handy so that's just a guess). Either way, I would say come back at maybe 80% of your previous mileage and see how it feels. It might not feel great but you should be able to get through it. In the following weeks you can adjust your mileage as you begin to feel better.
Why were you off? If you were injured I would say no, take time. If you just didn't have time to run or were lazy then sure. Maybe backload the miles a bit, take the first 2 days easier and then make the second half of the week a little harder.
Mileage, sure. Pace and effort level, no. Give yourself some room to back off of work outs too.
my coach has us take two weeks between track and xc, and when we start again, we start at half-mileage, then build up over 3 weeks to full mileage all easy running, then we start adding workouts.
so i'd say, depending why you took the time off, 75% of your full mileage to start then build up over 2 weeks, all easy running.
Prob depends on your age, how long you've been running at the previous volume/pace. I took 10 unscheduled days off about 4 weeks ago and had a real scare. I'm 43 and mileage had only been 30/40mi on 5 days per week. Had major knee pain on my first two easy runs (5 and 7 milers). Took another 3 days off before trying easy runs every other day for 4 days. Then had a solid week back at about regular pace and volume. Last weekend I did a 20 miler and feel fine now. Just take the first couple of days a bit easy you should be fine.

not a troll attempt. serious question. Not injured- would it be ok to run same mileage just a bit easier?

Probably. Assuming that you were fit before, what you'll probably notice is that you feel good the first day, because you are rested. Give yourself a few days to ease back to your usual training.
