I'm all for doubles (doing one today, actually). The hard part is that I work about 55-60 hours a week, commute 45 minutes each way, and have a 2 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. So running more then once a day is often a very significant achievement. This morning went before work after a VERY poor night's sleep and will try and sneak away during work for another 30 minutes. But what I gain in breaking up my easy mileage I lose in the lack of sleep and the stress of running around like a lunatic trying to fit everything in.
That said, last week was purposely a light week as far as workouts and quality days because I ran a half marathon last Sunday. So Mon-Wed was just recovery from that.
Sounds like you are doing quite well getting in training, working long weeks and raising two infants. Give yourself a break and enjoy these good days. Running should come third.
I'm running a half marathon this Saturday 8/30 and, if I can hit my modest goal time (by Letsrun standards) of 1:48,
I'll probably sign up for Columbus (Oct. 18) marathon. Been fighting through minor injuries all summer but managed to get in 45 miles last week. So hopefully coming around and ready for a few tune-up races in September.
