Three words: You be wrong!
A tempo run at a race, 2 months out, that's how you prepare for a marathon? So then, what's the point of the race? Oh, we all know now, he's going to run a race in practice in 2 weeks called the "Chad Johnson 10 miler, and this time he's going fast!". I mean why do it in an actual race with competition, aid stations, and the rest of those perks? Probably something along the lines of 47 plus for 10 miles, because that's where you run your fastest times, in a workout. Races, 2 months out, are not to see where you are at, but they are instead tempo runs. Thanks for enlightening us all.
I can't speak for the other posters on this thread, but I will most certainly check back and bring this thread to the front page and I'm fairly certain that I will be right. Give or take a minute, he will be 2:15 AT BEST (probably slower though....2:17:22), so what? Are you then going to say it was not a race, but instead a "tempo marathon" for simulator to be held at a later date? Chad is a 2:15ish marathoner & that is a fact, what part are you not understanding?
