Dear Hansons,
Your athletes always seem to exceed expectations when others falter in the WC Marathon.
Why?
Is it because you do a better job of studying the course?
Is it because you have your athletes with reasonable expectations?
Is it because you understand that you train differently for a summer marathon than you do for a spring or fall marathon?
Please share your expertice with the rest of the USA that has a tough time figuring it out.
Desiree was the only athlete of 10 american marathoners that ran a PB. And she did it by 4 minutes. I don't believe there was another american that met their goal.
In OSAKA I thought that the 23rd by Morgan and the 32nd by OBrien were both way better than expected.
In Helsinki Sell shocked me in finishing 9th and Verran finishing in 22nd was equally as impressive.
