I now agree with my European friends: AMERICANS ARE INCORRIGILY STUPID! They just can't help it.
You know, repeatedly calling Americans stupid doesn't really help your argument. You talk about respect?! Calling all Americans 'incorrigibly stupid' doesn't show much respect for 300 million people you've never met.
You make good points about Lagat. It's a shame you feel it necessary to call other people stupid in order to make yourself feel better.
And, BTW, most Americans don't give a damn what Europeans (or Kenyans, for that matter) think about us. We've become the greatest country on earth in about 230 years. Europe has been populated for thousands of years longer, and accomplished much, much less (in the big picture). And let's not even start with Africa...
Your love of insulting Americans doesn't do much to persuade us that Kenyans are wonderful, respectful people.
And yeah, every American knows that we have a very long, uphill battle to challenge East Africans in distance running. You're not exactly shining a light on a dark place there.
Again - you make fine points about Kenyan 'defectors', but say it in such an unlikable way that it's difficult to agree with you.
