Usain Bolt isn't a showman nor is he trying to connect to the crowd. Usain Bolt is merely displaying a defensive mechanism. His attitude of I don't care and I'm having fun, so when his ban for performance enhancing drug surfaces the world will know he had fun and didn't care about the consquences.
If you still seriously think Tyson Gay is clean after his 9.69 and yet Bolt is dirty you are either 1. an idiot or 2. Ridiculously biased. Either way your opinion on this matter is irrelevant.
LOL, Jeter sounds like Hulk Hogan after a night of partying and with a similar build, yet she she ends up on the "Might be using" while the Jamaicans are all guilty. VIPAM is a joke. 9.58 inna yuh bombo!
The Jamaicans are all guilty because they ARE ALL GUILTY, just like they WERE guilty in the past:
http://grg51.typepad.com/steroid_nation/2008/07/jamaican-drug-f.htmlAnd then there's this smoking gun with Ennis-London, who won a bronze for Jamaica in Berlin getting caught red-handed ordering HGH from a doctor in Miami:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/more/09/02/jamaican.track/index.htmlIn my mind, Jamaica is running an institutionalized cheating program, similar to East Germany. They are taking HGH (somatropin) and training VERY hard during the out-of-competition period, and the athletes are being protected from the testers (the HGH test that presently exists has a very short time horizon).
But we in the USA know generally how the Jamaicans have structured their training, with hard 400-oriented training early and more standard 100m sprint training later. The MVP sprinters don't even start running on an all-weather track until March.
It's almost like the Jamaican sprinters are doing Lydiard. People like Jeter and Gay (both ran 400 races in the spring) are adjusting to the Jamaicans raising the bar. And as with Lydiard training for distance, peak performances from the heavy strength emphasis comes late in the season.
Just like we did with the East Germans, we in the US are getting even. The cheaters aren't going to be winning gold much longer.
i agree...you got a clean bolt running 10 flat, hook him up on the juice if he promises to be commited and professional. turns out he doesnt have to be, the juice hooks it up for him so much he can be a jackass and still crush.
take him off the juice and he is a 10flat 19.8 guy again just like 2 years ago

The bias is laughable. Please don't call yourself coach, because you are soiling the good name of coaches. If the the Jamaican were cheating right now, they would be the ones "getting even." Take a long look at this list then adjust your numbers and get back to me.
PS: I didn't edit the list or pick out just the Americans.

Your a joke at best, your a regular poster who using a new name and showing your ignorance with two screen names. Almost 95% of your posts appear on my threads and the first I found appeared on this thread. Go away stalker!!!!
Tyson Gay in the last SIX years have made a steady progression without making HALF a second jump in the sprints like Usain Bolt. You take a outstanding talent 19.93 as a junior and put him on the juice and he can make a mockery of previously legendary world records like Michael Johnson's 19.32.
USAIN BOLT'S 100m and 200m progression:
2007 10.03 0.7 1r1 Vard Réthimno 18 Jul
2008 9.69 WR 0.0 1 OG Beijing 16 Aug
2009 9.58 WR 0.9 1 WC Berlin 16 Aug
2001 21.81 -1.7 2-17 CarG Bridgetown 16 Apr
2002 20.58 WYB15 1.4 1h4-19 WJ Kingston 18 Jul
2003 20.13 WJR WYR WYB16 1-19 PanAmC Bridgetown 20 Jul
2004 19.93 WJR 1.4 1-19 CarG Hamilton 11 Apr
2005 19.99 1.8 2 Norw Union London 22 Jul
2006 19.88 0.4 3 Athletissima Lausanne 11 Jul
2007 19.75 AR 0.2 1 NC Kingston 24 Jun
2008 19.30 WR -0.9 1 OG Beijing 20 Aug
2009 19.19 WR -0.3 1 WC Berlin 20 Aug
After setting his WJR it took Usain Bolt 3 years to drop .18 from his 200m and then the insane starts after losing 2007 World Championships as an adult. Jamaica fans, coaches, and Usain was embarrassed. What do you think happened to make him go from silver medalist 19.75 to GOLD medal WR 19.30 in ONE YEAR dropping -.45????
You put Tyson Gay on WHATEVER Usain Bolt is using and Tyson would run 9.20 100m and 18.92 200m seriously!

VIPAM, maybe aka Coach D... I am a regular poster with 1 name and I'm also a Jamaican. Am I getting under your skin? Good! Since you seem to be hell bent on discrediting our sprinters, I'm only too happy to expose you for the biased idiot you happen to be. Then again, it's not very hard, all it takes is half a brain, the ability to read, then compare your posts with the truth.
Another truth for you... what Bolt is running on is called... (drumroll please)... LONGER LEGS!!! So yes, if you can put Tyson on those, he might have a chance. That you can't refute. LOL
Unlike you, we have a lot of respect for Tyson Gay and we don't accuse him of doping. His 9.69 100M is amazing given his height. It's almost a pity that he is peaking at the same time as Bolt because it somewhat dulls the luster of his accomplishments, not to mention the monetary benefits that he might receive. I daresay his humble disposition is personally more appealing than that of Bolt but guess what? Bolt works the crowd and brings more excitement than Tyson ever could.
It's time for jackasses like you to realize that now is a good time for T&F and your posts accusing people left and right of doping serves to undermine it. Yes my good fellow... it's time for people like you to "go away".

Not sure I quite understand your point. I'm basically in agreement with you. I chose the name "so now we know" for this thread because now we know that VIPAM is a biased idiot.

Your wrong again me and Coach D aren't the same person. Now if your upset by my opinion and want me to go away then WHY are you continously finding this thread and constantly committing? Man please your not Jamaican and longer legs theory- what a joke.
Does anyone else find this theory so dumb it hurts? So from 2004 when he ran 19.93 and 2007 when he ran 19.75 an improvement of -.18 and then the mindboggling leap from 2007's 19.75 to 2009's 19.19 an improvement of -.56 Usain BOlt's legs grew how much, Sir??? ROFLMAO!!!
So what did T&F do to you? I'm with "VIPAM", "Coach D" and also with "I agree with spencer" in that Usain Bolt is using p.e.d's. Enough have been said that backs up the opinion and I'm sure proof will surface sometime in the future along with a 2 year ban.

Well, since you're ROFL...
Which is more laughable? Bolt's progression to age 23 or Gay's 9.69 while still claiming a painful groin injury? Have you ever had one? Hurts to the balls and affects walking, much less running. Now I said before that I like Tyson Gay and do not believe he is doping, but why persist in this obvious lie?
Got a new thread on it. Maybe you can contribue your infite wisdom. LOL

Hey what are you talking about now? Obvious lie...you the one said Usain Bolt's longer legs attributed to him improving from 10.03 and 19.75 to his new found 9.58 and 19.19 abilities in two years. I'm wondering how much his legs grew from 2007 to 2009 to propel him to his new superhuman abilities????
Are you an Idiot?
You think Usain was going to be an inexperienced 20 year old all his life?
Usain at 6'5" is a better starter than Tyson, he's younger than Tyson, he has longer legs than Tyson but more importantly he's much faster than Tyson!
Tyson doesn't half the natural talnt of Usain Bolt.
This is becoming fun now reading the hate you spew.
it was funny reading "put tyson on whatever bolt is on and gay will be running 9.20"
hahaha what you probably dont realize tyson was on some good shit, the same as maurice green, isnt his new coach jon drummond? HSI alumni? you think BALCO was the only place with chemists?
powell got on that shit as greenes flame was sputtering out, then gatlin got on it. gatlin tried to duck powell, lots of money was lost, so NIKE said "your done, america has 20 guys that can be the next YOU"
so as nike has powell, and adidas has gay...they set gay up with some good shit. well the guys at puma want in on the action and have had a phenom in their pocket for a few years....and there you have it.
i can agree bolt is the most talented of the group, and when he started hitting up the same cocktail as rest of them, you get WR's. someone should do a year by year progression of all the 100m runners since greene, and you will be able to see what year they decided to start juicing.
im pretty sure greene was a 10.20 guy and then one year with john smith he was rollling 9.9's...lets not be stupid here

just a 10.20 guy, starts a bit of the juice and drops to 10 flat, then hits it up big time after the gatlin scandel and boom drops .20 again, right he is clean
if any of you guys have more years or the years of ben johnson that would be interesting to see
Good list but you need to put the ages in otherwise it's a bit misleading. Gatlin and Gay were only 18 at the start of those list. Powell 19 and Greene 20 (about to turn 21). Not sure you can really read very much into these. Hindsight is a beautiful thing.
For my money it's fair enough having a big drop in your teens or early twenties. It's also fair enough having a steady progression throughout your twenties. This should not cause suspicion alone. What's more suspect is steady progress or none at all, throughout the twenties followed by a sudden drop just as you are pushing 30. Hmmmm who can we think of to which this applies?
hmm not some 30 yr old with the second fastest time ever in the 100m...nah not her haha
i know what your saying about 18-20, but thats not my big concern, its how others run 10.20 and never get any better and end with a 10.15 PR. but these guys can somehow drop .20 every two years? to me thats a red flag.
like how are they improving .20 while others improve .01? i just cant buy it that they are so much more talented, or their coach is that much better. like i said if you could find all the "cheats" year to year progression you will prob see .20 improvements like clock work, and around .50 total from their "clean" year to the last PR. someone needs to do the progressions of marion jones, kellie white, ingre miller, ben johnson, and dwain chambers.
