Usain Bolt is no doubt a phenomal talent and his promise from his teenage days was evident. The shocking thing to me is how he destroyed the 100m WR and dropped his personal best in one year and most of the sport world accept it with no hesitation. In 2008 Usain Bolt went from a promising 200m specialist to legendary status in both 100m/200m and surprising several of his countrywomen became nearly unbeatable. The improvement seen by the Jamaicans in the women's 100m, 200m, 400H, men's 100, and 200m seems puzzling and suspicous at the very least.
In this day and age there are still a few athletes who would risk humilation for their chance at glory. It's my opinion but I haven't accepted Bolt's performances nor two of his female Jamaican countrymen as I think they could have had performance enhancing aid. I'm not limiting that to just the Jamaicans as I'm sure a few others from other countries got by with clean test. Many suspect Flo-Jo of the same thing when she smashed the 100 and 200 WR but Flo-Jo was accomplished at both distance and already a sub 11 sec runner when she ran her 10.49. Many DON'T accept Flo-Jo performances as legal even though she passed the drug test during that 10.49 year and a couple years after that performance.
Yes its easy for a world class 200m man to run a good 100m but it's one thing to be world class to become dominant in your speciality and also the 100m. There are MORE 200m who can't step down to the 100m and perform equally and vice-versa. Bolt improved his 100m time from 10.03 from 2007 to 9.69 (-.34 improvement in the 100m) in one year and yes he passed a drug test but that drastic improvement doesn't leave you puzzled?
