One key element with frauds is their propensity for revisionist history. Despite Davis' claim that he answered my question many times ("ONCE AGAIN"), the truth is that nothing he ever said was anything more than general statements about people he's been with and worked with, etc. No confusion here, I was very clear in asking for specifics. He simply avoided what he couldn't produce. So I kept asking, which pissed him off.
But don't take my word for it, check for yourselves. I took the liberty of bringing these posts back to the first page for just that purpose.
His first post announced his coaching service. ("--Coaching services--" 7/2/02)
Here, I first questioned his credentials under the name "Get Real" because that is how I felt about his "here for the athletes rather than myself" bluster: get real. No response on that thread from Davis.
Davis then posted on a new thread (rather than answer on the old one...all the better to get his name on the topic board menu again!). ("I apologize" 7/2)
Again, no concrete response to the question of coaching credentials. But Davis did promise to never promote his company on the board again. Assumedly, this oath changed once he got the Johnson brothers' blessing to continue.
After my continued prodding, Davis finally did respond to the question of coaching credentials on yet another new thread, one spinning the topic into personal realms. (You THINK--" 7/6)
On this post, Davis again talked only in general terms about his coaching experience, with the exception of mentioning "a position" with the San Diego Track Club (interestingly, that has now been modified to "one of two head coaches"...if true now and true then, why not say that right away?). The rest of the post deals with the formal education he plans/hopes to get 'real soon.' (Let's do lunch sometime!) Lots of things he may someday offer--and if he does, more power to him, but my ongoing question was what does he have to offer right now that he's already claiming expertise enough to have the title 'coach'?
The answer, of course, was very little. And so began the spin...swinging the issue from his credentials (or lack thereof) to my identity and worthiness to even ask question him.
(One of Davis' starry-eyed disciples actually referred to me as "blasphemous" for daring to question his "Running God". Any wonder this guy acts like he does?)
One thing I forgot in my last post is to mention that I'm not Eric Mack. Mack is just someone Davis picked to spin attention away from my legitimate question...to get people thinking elsewhere. (To divert attention while subtly trashing someone he doesn't like, well, talk about double jeaopardy!!) I do appreciate Mack and the few others who have lately written in response to my comments rather than following Davis' lead in attempting to divert attention to me.
So according to Davis, he's answered my question four times("ONCE AGAIN"). I don't believe he's volunteered anything of substance until this last posting, and so my continued "harassment" (as his disciples claim). Scan the previous posts and judge for yourselves. Then decide whether you want to give your money to someone like him.
One last point: the fact that it is Davis doing this online scam is only icing on the cake. Had it been anyone else claiming so much with so little to offer, I'd have written the same (minus the personal opinion of Davis' athletic underachievement, which I have the right to express). Had Bob Kennedy, for example, written in asking for people to give him money and arrogantly referring to himself by a title he has neither yet earned nor deserved, I'd have asked him HIS coaching credentials.
But that's a moot point. I can't see Bob Kennedy becoming a cheap text pop-up ad on a website for any reason.
That's the difference between having world-class talent and being world-class.
