The problem is that the fan boys are convinced Rupp had to turn his head 180 degrees about 4 times in the last 300 meters and not that he was showboating. I think he did a little of both and was mildly excessive.
If the fanboys would just concede that he looked back too many times to the point of possible showboating and that it was unearned because no one he beat was on his level, which he hasn't done since indoors, we'd be okay.
Rupp is verging on becoming a pro athlete and he's already said that he's not young anymore and doesn't have any excuses so he should have been known to be more subtle.
"...we'd be okay" ???
oh my god people, we're all Not Okay, because Rupp looked back, OH NO! --No, we're not okay, and we won't be okay unless we all admit something that we did not see and do not believe.
oh the humanity, oh the horror, Rupp looked back "too many times" and now we're all not "okay."
what will we do, how will we ever be "okay" again?
someone please save us from this awful not "okay-ness"
--get a grip you lightwit.
Rupp can look back as much as he wants.
if he wanted to showboat, he would have done something like moonwalk across the line.
god knows he had the time.
