Have been training in the Zoom Elites for 2 or 3 years and really like them. How do the Lunar Trainers fit in comparison. I have long narrow feet and the Lunar Trainers look to be a bit wider. Anyone have any comparisons ? Pros or cons ?

Although the Lunartrainer appears to be a wide shoe, it is actually a narrow fit.
The midsole in the forefoot is splayed out. giving the wider look.
Compared to the Elite is fits the same.
The Lunatrainer 2 is more like the Elite, with a mild amount of support. It might be worth waiting for.
They're very light, however they do lack cushion in the forefoot, wouldn't recommend it for fore foot stikers.

I too have loved the Elites..hated the Luna trainers. I just went to the new Zoom Start. Love this shoes. Great fit, tons of cush, responsive, and very light.
Thought I liked the elite before I tried the luna trainer. So mad they are no longer after July(I'm on my 6th pair 400 miles a pair). Refuse to buy them on nike id. I have a pair of starts but they aren't anything great and if I wear them too much my achilles hurt. I don't pronate so I feel the elites were just too much shoe.
I went from the elite 2 to the jasari+ to the luna trainer. The jasaris were by far the best of the bunch, but the luna trainers are holding up ok. They're softer/ more cushioned than the elites and they have a curved last. After several months I've gotten some arch pain in the left foot, but I don't know if the shoe is the cause. If they hold up past 400 miles, I would buy them again.
Looks like there's a new Luna Lite Trainer. Has anyone heard anything about these ? Just saw them in a new Eastbay catalog that I received in the mail.
What about the newer Skylons ?
skylons discontinued
The LT with the white soles are just a color update.
I am wearing the Lunar Trainers and Lunar Racers now and find them to be great shoes. As far as being like the Zoom Elites, they don't seem to be. Even though I like the shoe, I have sprained my ankle three times in the Elites due to the narrow last (at least i believe that is the cause). At least right now, the Lunar shoes seem to have a wider and more stable base. As far as wider fit, they are not.
Lets try this again:

Keep in mind that I am 56 years old and everything is giving out on me now so my perspective is a bit skewed.
another reason you may have sprained your ankle would be the post in the elite.
its controlling your foot to much.

The Lunar Trainer is available through the rest of the year. A new colour is out in July (black upper/white sole) and runs through the rest of the year.
The Lunar glide also debuts in July. It is a different shoe. It is a couple of ounces heavier.
