The IAAF list for last year shows Rupp was the 48th fastest 10k runner in the world last year. There were about 10 non-africans in front of him. I really doubt the other 37 men from continent of Africa found anything funny about Rupp and any advantages you may perceive that he has. My impression is that in general they respect their competitors far more than those who post here at Letsrun.
