I run for a D1 college in California. I run sub 15:30 we have faster people though. no one isn't sub 16. We lift every monday and wednesday. Our strength coach is not certified and lacks all qualification for the job. we don't do enough abs and the workout that he has us doing are all wrong especially for this point in the season. conferences are on the 2nd and 3rd of may. us, the distance guys who are doing 5k 10k doubles at conferences are lifting this week, less than 2 weeks from conference championships. next week we are scheduled to lift. probably doing squats and bench on the monday before. Are me and my teammates the only ones who find this crazy???
