Kaul ran 14:07 at Hillsdale, closed in 59, his last two 200's, 28 and 31, broke away with the 28 and then cruised in. He needs to get in one more fast one this year, he'll go under 14.
Lauren Bergstrom ran a 4:25 in the 1500 last night at Hillsdale.
Bunch of qualifiers from Hillsdale along w/ Kaul's 14:07:
Jeramie Parker - Allegheny - 3:50.8
Jed Christiansen - Calvin - 14:35
Mike Spain - North Central - 30:19
Dallas Vincent - LAX - 30:47
Kyle Brady - North Central - 30:52
Cory Hayden - Unattached/Eau Claire? - 30:55
Ian Bauer - Hamline - 31:08
Nathanial Hird - North Central - 31:15, just missed provo.
Paul Zdriok - LAX - 9:05
Nate DeHaan - Calvin - 9:11
Aaron Goodman - Calvin - 9:17
some of those guys are already on the list w/faster times, e.g. christiansen, brady, hird
While those are some good times, many of them are actually not impressive for those runners.
Kaul, obviously. Hope he breaks 14:00.
Christiansen, DeHaan, and Goodman all ran slower at Hillsdale than they already have.
Spain improved a bit, but Hird and Bradley ran slower for North Central than they have.
Vincent, Bauer, and Hayden won't make it with those times.
The way I see it, the notable runs are by Kaul, Parker, and Zdroik.
Will Kaul run the 5k/10k?
And what will Kosgei run?
Patrick Roach from Messiah College in the 800.
Won an easy 1:49.2 at Princeton from the slow heat leading. A common occurance.
*occurrence, but yes i agree with you
kosegi 1;50.44, 3:53.74 at confrence meet today. solid races. sat on chafee through 12oo in the 1500 then just powered home
Where do Kaul's 14:07 AND 29:38 sit on the all time list. And what is he capable of running by the end of the year?
D3 all time list

I believe his 5k is 8th and his 10k is not in the top 10.
this link may work better, but he becomes 9th in the 5k, and he needed a 29:36 to be ranked in the 10k
bump
Bofa in the 800!
kosgei will when anything he does. Simply because he has more speed than anyone else. If he does the 800 he will win. If he does the 1500 he will win easily. If he run's steeple he can run what he ran last year and still beat Zdroik. In the 5k he will beat Kaul since kaul will not totally be recovered from the 10k. So anything he decides to do i think he has to be considered the favorite based on his performance last year at nationals and his last 200meters of that 5k which was sick when he closed in a mere 25.
My predictions:
Kosgei does 1500 and steeple so he doesn't have to race Kaul in the 5k...

Hayden was running unattached, so he will not be at nationals regardless of times.
No Heymann? 14:24, 30:16 has got to be worth something...
How does Zdroik still have eligibility?
Jessie Schneider runs just like Hany Abdallah, no frickin way he gets top 4 in either the 5 or 10k at nats. I hope he's not as cocky as that dude either.
Colin Sahlman runs 1:45 and Nico Young runs 1:47 in the 800m tonight at the Desert Heat Classic
