Men
100- Headley
200- Bertelson
400- Hanneus Olson
800- James Obrien
1500- Mack Chafee
5000- William Kaul
10000- William Kaul
110H- Shawn Olorundami
400H- Ted McMillan
Steeple- Peter Kosgei
Not too sure on the relays or field events.
O'brien - 800
Kosgei - Steeple, 1500 or 5k depending on which he wants to run.
Kaul - 10k, 2nd place in 5k if Kosgei runs, 1st if Kosgei doesn't.
Similar to indoors, it is somewhat unlikely none of the distance races will be particularly exciting. O'Brien will crush the 800, Kosgei destroys the steeple, Kaul ruins everyone in the 10k. The 1500 could be spicy if both Kosgei and O'Brien both do it, but Kosgei will still likely destroy. Ideally, Kosgei matches up against Kaul in the 5k, which would be a fantastic race given how dominant Kaul has been recently. Otherwise the 5k will be a joke for him like it was last weekend. Or maybe Kosgei will do the 10k...

uh_no, why did you list your PR's?
Sub 4 in the 1500 will get you all-american.
400: After a dissapointing end to indoor, Theiss will win nats with a high 46
1500: Wager will rebound from illness to get a top 3 finish
10k: Cortland will have 3 in the top 8
Hypothetically (not saying this will happen) how many points could Kosgei score if he ran as many events as he could handle. He wouldn't necessarily have to win events to still score plenty of points.
Thursday - 1500 trials
Thursday - 10k finals
Friday - Steeple finals
Saturday - 1500 finals
Saturday - 5k finals
My guess is about 28-36 points would be do-able.
800: Borner
1500: Mitchell
Steep: Loeffler
5k: Tropiano
10k: Tropiano if she wants to
Why doesn\'t McConell from Elmhurst ever get mentioned? He was 2nd at indoor nationals and 2nd at outdoor last year. He will be in the top 3.
so is o'brien going to follow in the footsteps of symmonds and leer? that is the question.

Theiss will more than have his hands full trying to win the 400. 46 high may not even be enough. Ollison from McMurry returns after winning in 46.40 last year.
My prediction...3 days before the start of nationals, a major ranstorm will hit the mid and upper Ohio Valley, and all the water will funnel into the Ohio River which is about 1 block from the track in Marietta. As happens about every 5 years, the river will flood, the track will be under 5-10 feet of water for 2 weeks, and the track will severely damaged.
This is what the track looked like the last flood (5 years ago)
Sorry, but placing 2nd place in the Nation in a track event is pretty darn good. Obviously winning is the tops, but to say that no one gives a shi- sounds like you're jealous, trust me plenty of people do care.
O'Brien tried to pull the double last year and wasn't able to do it. He should stick to winning the 800. I would love to see Kosgei and Kaul go after it in the 5k. The steeplechase/5k can be done, look at Yout (plus the 10k). If Kosgei doesn't run the 1500, then I have to give it to McConnell from Elmhurst, he ran 3:48 least year and I think is the top returner from outdoors.
No he is not...if you read this thread you would have noticed that Chaffee is with his 3:47 for second.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
