Predictions on Team Champions at Nationals?

1/2. La Crosse/Oshkosh - at this point too close to tell, but its gonna be close again like indoors

3/4. Mcmurry/Mississippi - if they both had seperate guys rocking it for all those events then it would be these two in the 1/2 spot, but traditionally you do not win nats with 1 or 2 athletes, it takes a few more for the "team" title. So I have these two here in a toss up because it is basically coming down to which of the two studs (Ollison and Winsley) have the most endurance.

5. Kosgei - kids unbelievable

Rage, I can respect where you're coming from. As a fellow Atlantic Region athlete, I assume you have some knowledge of the SLU-Clarkson rivalry. In the tradition of this rivalry, I was also looking to have a little fun at the expense of my fellow up-stater. The remarks are certainly on par, if not far more conservative, than anything you would hear at one of our hockey games. I would like to point out that my jab at ClarksonXC was acompanied by commentary on track meets, and therefore far more productive than anything he wrote...after all this is a track thread right? The "SUNY Clarkson" comment is the standard responce to the "SLU-T" remark. It really has nothing to do with money, however, I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone else, excluding any Clarkson student.

In order to remain productive: Jeremy Mwenda, in only his second steeple ever, hit provo this weekend (9:21.6). Wendy Pavlus also hit provo in the steeple (11:00). The rest of the NYSCTC meet was pretty much a wash due to wind. There were some fast times in the 100, but I don't know if those marks count when factoring in the wind. I think it's also important to note that Mike Hardbarger ran, but not very fast. I wasn't there but maybe he went out fast and was thorted by the wind? Dan Ramsey, workout in the 10k and 5k?

Lots of respect to Mark Streb for winning SUNYACs and running another 3:55. He has come a ways in the last year. Fredonia turned in some good running. Most of my other predictions for the meet were way off.

As the number one MD/LD woman at Clarkson, I vehemently object to your repeated jabs at our perenially strong program with all 247 pounds of my being. Clarkson has repeatedly established itself has a powehouse in D-3 running, and has been subsequently honored with national recognition, from hosting the 2007 Liberty League championships to the awards ceremony that followed it. We also offered free apples and Gatorade to all participants.

It seems, however, that you have a problem not only with our running program but with our school in general. Please allow me to educate you about the long, proud history of Clarkson. Founded in 1894, Clarkson was named for Superman's aptly named but little known son, Clark's son. Eventually, the two words merged into one. Far from our undeserved reputation as a "haven for nerds" where "the men are manly and so are the girls", Clarkson is, for lack of a better term, one hell of ride. In fact, many visitors say that the only aspect of our school that is more exsquisite than the the girls is the architecture. In the revolutionary 1960's, while students at other schools were dully burning draft cards and engaging in boring experimentation with sex and drugs, we at Clarkson truly led the way in youthful rebellion. Going way out on the fringes, the students lobbied long and hard to drop linear algebra as a graduation requirement. And if that doesn't totally blow your mind, we also politely asked our administration in the correct written form to allow us to insert the words "that's what she said" after each instance of the phrase "long and hard". Although both attempts were utterly denied, it is rumored that some students remained unhappy and may have even complained in the privacy of their dorm rooms. Our tradition of partying hard and sticking it to the man (with properly approved and safely dull instruments, of course) continued well into the current time. In fact, to this day, Clarkson remains number five on the list of the biggest party schools in the Canton-Potsdam metropolitan corrider after only SLU, SUNY-Potsdam, SUNY-Canton, and Canton High School. I wish I could continue, and I'm sure you do as well, but I really need to nap before our hard workour this afternoon of 3Xsuckass.

Bump for last chance/ECAC type meets?

Wiac meet sucked for times, too much wind! how did the rest of the countries conference meets go time/weather wise.

SUNYAC champs also didn't have too many amazing times, except for the 200. It took a 22.2 to make it to the finals, but then the wind ruined a would-be awesome final. DuBois/Heymann ran workouts to win the 5k/10k respectively. Willie "10.1 in high school" Hordge won the 100 and 200.

any predictions on the relays at nats?

Pretty impressive and exciting 5k at the Centennial Conference meet. Haverford puts 5 guys at sub 15, 6 at 15:04 or better.

I am in a good mood because the SUNYAC meet was so exciting. I was impressed that Tom bounced back in the 5k so well after the 10k the night before.

SLU still sucks worse than Clarkson, and that's saying something.

i\'m sorry but dubois was not running a workout...lee berube was on his ass until about 1200 to go i think? It was a great race. Furthermore, he ran 14:53, which is close to what he ran at the cortland classic in a setup, rabbited race...no workout

It says '1500 final' at the top, but it's the 5k. Just click the fast forward button, it gives you a freeze frame of the last 15 meters or so.

Karwoski had a sick last 100, went from 5'th to 3'rd in the last 100 after being abroad all year, and flying in from Spain that day I believe? Nearly won them a conference championship.

Christensen, Wilhelmy, Spain and Vincent all closed in 60-61 to run 14:28-14:31 - Race went out pretty slow, 9:25 at the 2 mile
