That there's really no cure for chafing and that it's a good idea to wear an extra pair of undershorts when the temperature gets much below 25.
Also that there's nothing in life as satisfying as a well earned PR and that in any situation you do the best you can and take satisfaction from that and don't beat yourself up for not doing something that you can't do. But that you also can do a LOT more than you'd have once believed.

When you shit your pants on a run or drop a log in the woods and smell your own feces, you immedialy learn at that moment that modern plumbing is a wonderful thing. Not only does it magically make turds disappear but somehow it doesn't make them smell nearly as bad.

Don't try that on a treadmill Daniel...but if you absolutely positively have to go, set the incline at 1.5% before letting rip so as to take into account the lack of a headwind.
