The beef processing plant on the outside of town has about the worst smell I have ever experienced. You have to experience it to understand. They have like a million cattle in a one-square-mile enclosure, and the stench is incredible- that is one hell of a lot of cow shit. That's the hazardous waste you are talking about.
And there really is not too much to do there. The town sort of coses up early and you can't find a good restaurant later at night. At least the mountains are not too far away.
NO!!!!!!!! Don't even think about Cow Town! UNC is nice, but Greeley sucks! I'm originally from Ft. Collins, and from experience, I know that Greeley is the worst place to live! There is sometimes a green glow hovering over the town late at night, which you can see all the way from Ft. Collins and Loveland....it smells awful all the time, and there is a VERY high proportion of cancer patients to the total population. Lightning rarely hits the ground....it can't, for some reason. It just flies across the sky. My belief is that there may be some sort of hazardous waste facility there....it's a f***ing dump, and there may just be a plutonium dump there. (No better place to put it.) So, if you want to grow an arm out of your ear, go to Greeley. Plus, all those trashy animals on the bad side of town are just disgusting.
