U.S. Recon Marine/Navy SEAL vs. UFC Fighter: Who Wins?

Geezus, does nobody read any of these posts?

It is completely obvious here that:

1) If the fight is in a cage, with MMA rules, then the MMA fighter will have the better chance at winning. This is why you don't see SEALS or marines mopping up at UFC. They are not trained THAT specifically.

2) If the fight is out somewhere in the real world, in an alley or wherever, the special forces guy wins. He would most likely utilize some sort of makeshift weapon (a bottle, a rock, whatever) and use it to his advantage. If there is nothing available, he will kick/punch the UFC guy in his balls/sacrum, gauge his eyes out, or any other "illegal" move that he can use to KILL, that would not come immediately to the MMA fighter.

Is this really that hard to understand?!

it's disrespectful to even compare the two.

on the one hand all you have are a bunch of civilians doing sporting activities in a no-risk managed setting. on the other hand you have civilians putting out fires in a managed risk situation. then you have cops who deal with civilian criminals in a managed risk situation. in all of these civilian activities the persons don't knowingly risk their lives, they get more helpers, they can quit at any time, leave their jobs, unpenalized, left to enjoy all the freedoms as civilians until old age.

then you have the seals/marines. america orders them to knowingly walk into a hail of gunfire, mortars, IEDs, and to shoot and wrestle, stab, choke the life out of the enemies of the united states with their own bare hands, and to be killed in turn by the same brutal methods. these seals/marines can't just cry to their coach, call the dispatcher on the radio and quit. america literally orders them to become teenagers/youths for the rest of enternity.

there is no comparison possible.

I hope they both lose, both of them are as dumb as a box of rocks. I apologize if I offended any boxes of rocks.

you guys are a joke. at my mma gym, over 25% of the people are from the military base in town, and they tap out pretty quickly and lose that chip on their shoulder...mirko crocop, former top 5 heavyweight also trains the croation special forces team. he would wreck any military guy. hong man choi is in the korean army and is 7'2, 360 lbs. hes another military guy who could destroy people in a kill or be killed environment. both of those guys have been destroyed in the cage, and are lucky they had the refs to save their opponents. mma guys who are heavily trained to use their knees, elbows, fists and legs to damage the body would have no trouble using their natural weapons on someone in a real fight. they would have a huge advantage over a guy who doesnt train 6-8 hours a day. special forces guys may learn different scenerios, but they cant practice them in training because it would be murder. mma guys practice their stuff all day, everyday. i remember on pros vs. joes a couple of years ago, there was a special forces close combat instructor on the show. in one event, he had to take on randy couture in a submission wrestling competition, and was tapped MANY times by randy (even though randy had been retired for nearly a year at the time) and pretty much looked like a helpless girl out there. i cant imagine what would have happened to him without a ref there.... but i guess any special ops guy would out swim michael phelps in the real world, chase down usain bolt in the streets of iraq and knock out mike tyson in a bar fight.

Look him up.

I've trained with fighters and I've trained with my Marine Option Instructor (A prior enlisted major in the Corps) and i can tell you, with brutal honesty, that my MOI would wreck any fighter.

i am sure he would. so instead of fighting for a living and being a champ and making enough money to retire (should be easy if he would wreck any fighter), he stays in the corp to eek out a living.

it depends on where the fight is held, in a ufc ring, anyone that can half ass fight can beat anyone with a knock out punch or a slip and get put in a hold, but id have to say an mma fighter might have the advantage, its where he is comfortable.

now if the fight was held in the real world, you put the two fighters on opposite sides of the planet and told them to find and kill the other, the seal would kill the mma fighter without the mma fighter ever seeing him, would travel without ever being seen or without any record of any transaction. its not just the one on one fighting seals are bad ass at, its their ability to get into security systems, travel without being seen, hacking into anything and everything, and yes for the most part they are stronger and better fighters than the average population, and they all have the strength to one punch an mma fighter and win

Here's an old UFC fight between Mark Kerr and Greg Stott. Kerr was primarily a one-dimensional wrestler and wasn't known for his stand-up fighting. Greg Stott was an Army Ranger, who developed his own martial arts system, which was taught in the Special Forces. Stott was also one of the strongest men in the world and has a personal record in the deadlift of over 800 lbs. He was chosen to fight in the UFC because he was tabbed as the best hand-to-hand fighter in the military. All I can say is that Kerr is glad the ref is in the cage. If this was in the real word, Stott would have given Kerr the beating of his life!

Mirko Cro-cop has trained special forces people in Croatia and essentially had his head kicked off by Gabriel Gonzaga who then lost to an old Randy Couture. Assume they are relatively the same size I'd pick the mma fighter. Especially if they are a ufc fighter because that generally means they don't suck. Also, in the real world the mma fighter would no longer be forced to follow the rules. Assuming no weapons, I'd have to give advantage to ufc fighter.

In fact, just last night I witnessed a real world fight with one person claiming to be in Navy Seal training. Maybe he is a slow learner or a liar because he was wrecked by a civilian with no fighting experience.

I don't know if this has already been said or not but the Seal or Marine could just shoot the guy in the knee from about 500 yards out.

Which UFC fighter are we talking about?

If it was Anderson Silva, I doubt there is a Navy SEAL alive that would stand a chance in a UFC-style bout with him. St-Pierre's not bad either.

Does the winner between the MMA and the Seal then get to wrestle the cheetah from the other thread last year?

Therefore, we could have an answer to our question if a man could wrestle a cheetah and win.

UFC dude would smash a Navy SEAL. No offense of course but the limited hand to hand stuff would be no match for the UFC dude.

The OP said no rules. So that means no official beginning to this little hypothetical fight. A SEAL would not just show up in an Octagon and fight to the death in a match he knew he could not win. That would be suicide. They are not trained to purposefully engage an enemy with overwhelming superiority. The MMA guy would never know what happened, and we would just hear that xyz MMA guy is a missing person, a see his mug on telephone poles and milk cartons.
