Not too much grip to them, so unless you're going to be on pretty tame trails I would steer clear.
One piece of advice, plan to take off a few days the week after wearing them for a race. Bar none...the worst blisters I have ever had in my life, I've never taken a day off for a blister before, but these shoes did it.
I have run in this shoe barefoot after not running barefoot at all for 4 months and had absolutely no problems with blisters. Where on your foot did you have this problem?

My experience has been in the few times that I've used them on trails is that you feel every rock and root under foot, and not in a good way. You really need something more substantial between your foot and the ground

Personally, I find comfort in feeling the ground (~roots, rocks, sticks). You have better foot control. I never had problems running with this shoe on trails, but I think they are better as a road shoe and pretty good when it's wet. Not the best shoe for hills (too mushy!). Only friction I experienced (going sockless while running) is on the outside of the shoe near the pinky toe-- the shoes seem to curve here. Probably depends on the shape of your foot. These are now my everyday walking shoes (go sockless), and I haven't had problems since.
Truly curious here - based on past posts, aren't these kind of antithetical to your less-is-more shoe belief? What's your trainer of late?

They gave these to Trials participants. I was a bit skeptical at first, but they are a surprisingly flexible shoe for such a thick midsole, albeit way too mushy for me! I only wore them for 2 weeks, and they made my quads sore on a long run (which is where I had problems in trainers many moons ago, ~4 femoral stress fractures). Personally, I think they're a great shoe for walking but too soft/moonshoeish for running (and not so great for digging into hills!).
Now I'm part of a group sponsored by Brooks, so I've been training in the T5s since June, along with rotating between other flats (~Saucony Kilkenny's for off-road running, Adidas Adizero PRs for short runs). No problems at all with the T5s.
I have found that these are some of the greatest racing shoes of all time. I am on my fourth pair. That said 2 have blown out (torn at the seam), and one I wore for all of hood 2 coast, the 4th I found at a local shop and just wore them today, fit like gloves. I run a lot of hills and do hill sprints several times a week in all different types of shoes, these far and away are the best. Wait a month or two though, they are coming out with some really sweet color schemes. Don't know when, just saw that online at Nike Store they had multiple options that were docked but you could not buy them.
