how about a moratorium on teg 10k jokes?
how about a moratorium on teg 10k jokes?
Thanks for all the goods on Teg, etc. Anyone know how Rupp is doing? I understand he pulled out w/a couple laps left in a 5k due to a sore calf? Thanks.
I talked to Matt at Renny's Bar (he didn't drink a drop, but he was there to hang out with friends)and he told me directly that he was going to run the mile but pulled out because his hamstring had been bothering him. I was surprised because I thought maybe he was going to run the two-mile, which he did last year. In fact, he corrected me when I inquired about whether he decided to not run the two-mile.

You have to love the people who think it takes an English degree to string together a handful of sentences using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
The point is that no one cares wether English and grammar are correct except the nerds who ignore the content on this website (or are not intelligent enough to comment on any pertinent topic)

Being unable to spell or use correct grammar also says something about a person´s intelligence.

Teg was gonna run the 10k, but showed up for the 2 mile and scratched because it wasn't the 10k.
this is impossible by definition. because Teg does not run the 10K, you see.
How dare you....

No, all it says is that on this mode of communication, that it is not important (except to dorks like yourself)
Dude, I don't see your "Buddy" posting all over Letsrun that he talked to Vivian Cheryiut and others, what gives? Is your world so small that you have to fill it with big names?

You miss the points of my post:
1) Matt Tegenkamp is not injured badly, but he is being smart and not taking risks. He's fit, he says, and will ready to roll at the O.T.
2) Unlike a lot of superstars from other sports, track & field has some very nice people who are star athletes.
Everyone of those people I mentioned is downright nice, and you'd never know they are grea athletes if you met them at the grocery store.
A buddy of mine was at the meet Sunday and he talked to several elite runners (Vivian Cheriot for example) and said the same thing about how nice they were. They didn't treat him like a nobody just because he's a Joe-runner fan.
tomorrow on Kimbia.net, there will be a video where Matt is asked about running the 10K.

this is very worrisome. it threatens to rip a hole in the space time continuum. however, if teg says he "would" run a 10K, it means very little, as it is merely hypothetical speculation and thus not directly adverse evidence to what is a well-known law of track and field: teg does not run the 10K, you see.
ZOMFGGGGA!!!!!!!!!!
THIS SHOULD BE ON THE FRONT PAGE!!! EVERYONE TUNE IN TO THIS!!!! DREAM BECOME REALITY AS LONG AS THEY ARE POSTED ON LETSRUN!!!

an 8:15 with some left in the tank and not a whole lot of speed work should come as a good sign for solinsky. even if his last 200m was suspect, it's okay, because the trials are 3 weeks away and the olympics are even further away. it's a good sign if his 200m is suspect now. if it was looking really good, i think that would be more suspect.

I would disagree; the 8:15 is good, but he definitely struggled at the end and with Teg and Lagat as pretty sure bets, this leaves Chris fighting for 1 spot; there usually are some surprises at the trials and his spot could be vulnerable.
