I recently got "The Stick," and I was wondering whether I'm supposed to massage before a run or after.
Race days, workout days, easy runs, long runs.
Help me out, please.

I would say both. Beforehand it's good to release the muscles for your workout. Maybe only 2-5 minutes though. Focus on calves, Hamstrings, then foam roll the quads/ITT. Don't over do it, just enough to loosen up. Afterwards, go for it. Make sure to stretch properly though. Some studies suggest stretching before can injure the tissue, but i "stick" it first then stretch lightly. After, i stretch thoroughly then stick if needed. I use it 3-5 times per week probably and get a massage session (Neuromuscular, Orthopedic/Sports) per week or 3x per month as well. Nothing beats a real persons manual therapy on the legs, but the stick and foam roller pass the time well.
