My family will be taking a couple of long trips this summer which will involve a few long driving days. I'm trying to run as many aerobic miles as I can this summer. On those long driving days, I'm thinking about running up the highway for 5 or 10 miles when our family stops for lunch. I'll just start running as soon as we stop. They can buy my food and sit down and eat theirs and then pick me up further up the road when they're done.
Has anyone else ever done this? Am I really becoming a running madman to even think about doing this? I'm just trying to squeeze in the miles in a way that doesn't intrude too much on my family's schedule.
