Didn't his Dad become his coach after the drug scandals made headlines. Maybe Shawn needs to find another coach.
was coached by trevor graham.....
Not for a long time.
he's had bunions since college & they got worse after athens - they were on his R foot & he compensated by putting weight more on L & that buggered up the nerves & soft-tissues in that one - he said he had difficult walking let alone running
had bunion surgery in '06, but doesn't appear to have helped as his running mechanics may have been already permanently screwed
good luck to shawn , a great ACC champ from Clemson,
Mr. Crawford has proven that "nice guys finish last" isn't always the case. Mr. Crawford has always been humble, a gentleman, and a class act. There's no athlete I know who is a better Olympic Champion than Mr. Crawford.

If he wasn't on drugs, i'll give up running. I remember all the bullshit interviews in athens "yeah, me and justing, we both got our golds, like batman and robin", yeah, you con artist, pull the other one.
Yeah and you probably salivate and slobber affection all over Lance Armstrong too.
You've got to admit that, increasingly, it seems like all of Trevor Graham's athletes were at least encouraged to use drugs. Crawford is right in the eye of the storm when it comes to drug suspicion and it would be naive to pretend otherwise.
You know, I like Shawn, he's amusing, but anyone who says he's humble, a gentleman, and always a class act obviously didn't catch his postrace press conference with Maurice Green at the Reebok Grand Prix in NYC two or three years ago.
Shawn moved all the way across the country and started working out with Bobby Kersee in early March.
But his results are 10.21 this year (Adidas Classic) compared to what he used to do. You can draw whatever conclusions from that you want.
Yeah, and don\'t forget the draw the same conclusion with Sara Bei and Carrie Tollefson who have also had a not so stellar year.
right, since both of those people bei and tollefson were coached by the dirtiest man in histroy (sarcasm).
Look at Ryan Hall and tell me he isn't under suspicon.
Shawn's dad pulled him out from under Graham after allegations surfaced. Shawn's dad is like Shaq's dad, he'd impale Shawn (even when he's 40 years old it'll be no differnt) if Shawn ever did anything wrong, on or off the track.
I am honestly surprised Crawford is still racing. He has been associated with both BALCO labs and Trevor Graham. He escaped the BALCO case, I wonder how he will fair now. Either way, he is trying to make a comeback instead of hiding in the shadows.
Shawn, Allen, Dee Dee, Allyson, Kerron, and others just don't have that in their life. They've got their acts together, off the track, and on the track.
He seems like a funny guy. Sprinting with a baseball cap and running against zebras and giraffes.
Studies show that you can suppress steroid rage with Prozac and other drugs but also show that the individual may experience periods of momentary rage. The individuals may appear to have excessive elation while under medication, the 'happiness cult' effect. Lance Armstrong is the best example of such a person suspected of simultaneous use of steroids and tranqulizers. I haven't seen those signs from Shawn Crawford, Dee Dee Trotter, Kerron Clement, Allyson Felix, Allen Johnson, etc. though. They are pretty level headed, straight and narrow types.
