Why did Sara Hall open at 62 yesterday? That cost her a great race perhaps! Maybe 4:06-4:07 range?

she is probably trying to get herself to the next level, sometimes a runner must take chances to get there, she tried, she blew up this time, but hopefully, next time she wont.
A 62 is doped world record pace. That's way too fast regardless. It's like a guy in 3:35-3:40 shape opening with a 54.
A 64/65 would of much more manageable, then work your way up. I thought she was the "second" rabbit at first. She was struggling with HALF the race to go!
She followed a rabbit who went out way too fast.
We have all gone out too fast before. Let it go. Plus, she is the nicest person alive.
Why is Sara Hall running the 1500m anyways? She doesn't have that much footspeed and would be so much better suited running the 5k.
I like the ASICS thong she wears. Technical.
she wasn't thinking.
at her level you need to know pace.
i've run sub 4 and i can tell you i knew the difference between 28's and 29.5's.
you also have to assess the race, where are you competitors. by 50m she should have clued in that no one else was going with her.
and finally, the rabbit was an idiot. all rabbits are required to run 2 200's at pace. if this chick didn't do that - either the race director is an idiot or the rabbit was dumb herself.
yea, that rabbit was a real idiot. Only paced Rowberry to a 4:01 pt., top five of all time in US. yea, what a dope. Maybe you people should forget about Hall in the 1500.Maybe Hall, should forget about Hall, in the 1500.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT CADILLAC
"The race got underway with some terrible pacemaking as Korene Hinds took it out in sub 30 for the first 200. Most of the field was smart enough to realize the pace was way, way too hot as they stayed way behind Hinds as the field went through 200 in about 31 flat as compared to Hind's 29 low. Sara Hall wasn't so fortunate as she went with Hinds and ended up really paying the price, finishing last in 4:25.26. At 400, Hinds was still on her ridiculous pace (61.1) with Hall right behind her. Most of the field was running much smarter as they hit the 400 in about 64 which is a little too fast for most of them (4:07.00 is 66 pace) but not crazy stupid like 61. Rowbury was running well early as she hit 400 in 63ish.
Hinds slowed way down on the next 400 and Rowbury caught her and was right on her heels at 800 (2:09.5). Despite the fact that Hinds ran the first lap in 61.1 and the 2nd on in 68.4, the tv commentators described her pacing as being "a great job". We couldn't disagree more." from LRC meet summary
sure sar hall went out to fast as i said, filbert bayi and many kenyans are considered the free spirits of running and run as they feel, not as robotic like most western athletes, also if her husband listened to the letsrun crowd before his first marathon he probably would of paced himself to a 212 or 213 marathon. sara hall needs to try to take chances to get to the next level, her personal best of about 408 does not mean much at the level she probably wants to get to, she needs to at least be able to go sub 4 minutes for 1500 to be a factor at the world level, rowbury and flanagan are showing in the last month they could be players at the world level why not sara hall?
Because 4 minute pace is 64 seconds per lap.
Hinds, was in the race to pace most notable, Sinclair. As, until the end of that race, she was the class of that field. Rowberry, could not have been happier with that quick pace, as it catapulted her to a great time. Hall, is a good runner, not a great runner, as you people seem to make her out to be on these boards. Thus your disappointment and insulting remarks, because she couldn't hang with a tough "world class" pace.
How can you say it cost her a 4:06-4:07?She ran 4:25 - I don't care how fast the race started, you can't tell that she could have run 4:07 if she ran 4:25next time i'll go out too fast in a race and at the end, i'll say, well i could have run a minute faster with good pacingbs, i give you better than 4:25 but in her last couple of races she has been around 4:15, not 4:06

perhaps she has lost favor in the eyes of god?
I agree she was not going to run 4:06.
I mentioned this in another post on Rowbury and this is my opinion: Hall is not going to make the team in the 1500.
She has the very best of everything in the form of support, (coaches, shoe contract, teammates, insurance, lifestyle)and maybe in four yrs she can move up to the 10,000. Currently she does not have the strength to run with the best US 10,000 meter runners at the 1500! Rhines, Goucher, Flanagan can all run a faster head to head in a 1500. Sad bc the Halls always talk about striking while the iron is hot and never knowing what 4 yrs will bring. It seems like she isn't in reality.
Dang, your letsrunners are a heartless bunch.
Sara (Bei) Hall, is a great runner: high school multiple state champion, Foot Locker national Champion, multiple All-American at Stanford (lots of 2nds and 3rds in NCAA finals), national championship team member, International XC championship competitor, and the list goes on.
Of course, no "great runner" has ever run a bad race. No 5,000 meter runner would be caught dead running a 1,500 meter race for fitness purposes. She has a coach who knows what he's doing--at least give him some credit.
This is all stuff you gutles bastards wouldn't say to her face. And that's because it's all stuff she doesn't deserve to have said about her. You all make cheesy comments about how great she looks, but I can guarantee you that Ryan Hall is perhaps the only man worthy of her.
Six weeks ago Ryan Hall was an idiot, then he ran a 2:06 or 2:05 or whatever it was, and all you same jerks jumped on the bandwagon.
Stick to talking about the stuff you know, which is the Jackass Movie, looking at pictures of hot girls, and jogging.
Her notable NCAA success was in the 3,000-5,000(based on the team USA website). World class 1500 runners are running low 2 min for the 800 and some are under 2. They are closing in a 400 faster than Sara's 400 PR. No one is knocking her talent but do you honestly believe that she is a 1500 runner? As far as her coach I believe that he lets the athlete make the decision.
Can you image what they would tell Bekele if he stood up and said I want to only run the 1500.
What?? Where are the "she's not peaking yet", or the "she's overtrained", or the "she's just using it as practice for her main distance" comments?
Oh, that's right, those are for Webb only. Everyone else just sucks.
