I am going to be spending the summer in Litchfield County, CT. Does anyone know of a good local HS track to work out on?

Whenever I need to use a track in some area that I'm not familiar with, I just use Google maps. Click satellite mode and zoom in as far as you can on your house. Then zoom out until you can see a track. Given that all tracks are more or less the same quality, and that tracks are conveniently spottable on satellite images, this method works well.
i live there, in the southern half of litchfield county, new milford HS, pomperaug HS, new fairfield HS.....i don't konw much about the north half of the county, sorry....
There's a nice trail just west of Litchfield itself: http://www.westchestertrails.com/litchfield.php
what town in litchfield county are you staying in?
I'm staying in Goshen... the middle of nowhere.
OK - litchfield high school (on plumb hill road) has an awesome new mondo track. that's the one to go to, and is closest to goshen.
also, there are lots of trails right across the street/down the road in white memorial conservation center.
Awesome, thanks. The track must be new because I have spent the summer there in years past and don't recall Litchfield HS having one? Or maybe that is just my shady memory..
yup, only 2 years old. it's a really great track.
Oh man, Goshen can be pretty hilly, you can get an insane workout if you want one. There are a lot of dirt roads and even a couple trails around, but even the regular country roads are pretty nice to run on. I don't know where the tracks are, sorry.
oh man. I lived in Litchfield for a summer while working at a summer camp. Running sucks up there. Hilly, humid, ticks...have fun.
Hi--I just moved back from CT. I'd touch base with the Hartford Track Club. They were extremely helpful to me during my time in CT. There are some great running trails throughout CT.
When you get to Litchfield, find "the Hawk". He is wise in all things running in Litchfield. You won't have to ask more than one person in town. The legend lives on. Listen and learn.
